Bama wins! This is the first time in six trips to the CWS that Bama has won the first game and no SEC team has ever won the championship. Last year Bama was the number one seed and got eliminated by Hawaii in the last inning in the Super Regional by a walk off home run.
This year, that weight was hanging on their heads and they were determined to win the first game and advance. Due to aggressive base running, Bama got one run in the third and held Cal the rest of the game to win 1-zip. Tomorrow, they play the winner of Okie State and Baylor game. :clap:
