John Hannah is still considered one of the greatest nfl lineman ever.  He came to my home early one sunday mourning when i was about 9 where we went with him to watch him speak at the brotherhood breakfast we were having at college heights baptist.  I was already a football 4 yr. football junky by that time so to imagine that I didn't proceed to watch him murder defenders as a pulling guard from there on out would be an understatement.  This guy was a gentle giant in street clothes that turned into a demon after national anthems were played on Sundays.  He represented our school well.

2. Derrick Thomas---still holds record for sacks in an nfl game ...that must have been the greatest effort I've ever seen from a bama player in the nfl...might have been that flyover on a day he made special for his dad.
3. biscuit
4. bart starr
5. namath...maybe our most celebrated player

my list so far...Let's see what bleacher reporter says?
