Jordan Jeffeson questions LSU's game plan
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:51:34 PM »
Is he trying to take the HEAT off himself to blame the coaches? He has been a pretty bad passer since he has been at LSU.

Quote
"When we came in at halftime we discussed what we needed to do different as far as moving the ball and getting in a rhythm," he told the radio station. "... You have to have certain plays for these certain types of defenses they were running. We talked about making the adjustment and the adjustment that we made wasn't the adjustment that we needed to make to get the momentum and the rhythm going."

He is trying to take the heat off himself it did not matter what changes that they made Bama had their number.

I don't think that anything short of nuking the Bama locker room would have helped them.

Yea, they could have played with 3 extra guys on that night and it wouldn't have mattered.  Nothing like throwing the school under the bus after the stood behind you through your numerous problems.

That's funny.  The offensive game plan wasn't the problem.  Alabama's defense knocking the crap out of the LSU offense was the problem.  Bama was more physical and better prepared in all three phases of the game.

Don't confuse me with someone who's defending Les Miles, but there was not much else he could do with the QB situation he had.  Bringing Lee in would've been similar to throwing gas on a bonfire and Jefferson has never been much of a passer until his team has a comfortable lead.

I couldn't agree more cliff. I knew there was zero chance of Lee playing before kickoff.  My buddies and I joked for three weeks about how he wouldn't hit the field...and most LSU fans felt the same before kickoff. I don't care who they played against us.  They were **** lucky we missed some field goals in the first game because we beat them very soundly in that game less one long drive that made up almost half their yardage towards the end.  I think many of their fans understood this well before the BCS game.  I almost go the impression many were a  bit fearful playing us again...that they knew we were better.  All-American honors aside...our secondary deserved more 1st  teamers...honey badger wasn't as good as any of our first team defensive  backs...menzie included.  You had to know DK and Dontae were fired up entering the rematch.  Dontae was the best defender in the nation this year in my opinion.  He didn't get the recognition he deserved... Barron as well in my opinion.  Somebody had to pay.

Is "nuking the locker room"
similar to
"rocking the casbah" ?

I'm just trying to learn here?

Kinda hard to complete a pass when you are laying on your back !! and you're not very good to begin with..Oh let's see bring in Lee...ok he's thrown 1 TD and 7 int.'s against Alabama really a good move.. the receivers ? Can't catch if the QB can't throw.. non factor...rhythm ? The only rhythm lsu had was walking off the field together after another 3 and out !!!  The story here is the real game plan was Alabama's defensive plan that was worked to perfection !!! not lsu's failure to execute their offensive plan...IMHO...We saw CNS and CKS put together something that was so beautiful (if you're a defense guy ) and our players played to the 100% level to carry out that plan..Their performance has set the bar a little higher for the next Bama defense !!!! but this one is Great !!!!    ;)

I have to agree with Cliff and Bama30 on this one. Les Miles is partially the blame too. They were working the two QB system to perfection. Actually, thats how they beat us the 1st time. Bama didnt prepare for the optionas much during the 1st contest because of how Jarrett Lee had been playing so well. That offense started struggling directly during the contest with Bama and so forth. Don't let the scores fool you. Special Teams and defensive scores aided the score board heavily. Miles made a big mistake taking Lee out of the game plan. As far as All-Americans, sports right got caught up in the flashy style of the Honey Badger and LSU. The resume was beautiful. Claiborne was the only legit shutdown corner.  The Honey Badger just made exceptional plays AFTER the ball was caught by the receiver. Trust me, the NFL saw how the Badger was exposed. I dont expect him to leave early for the pros.

In Saban I Trust!!!

Bama had them beat - no matter who was under center.  Lee would not have been much more effective than he was the first time.  The OL wouldn't have been able to block any better, RBs would not have been able to run any better, etc.
Bama was on a mission and there would not have been any stopping them.  ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

Man thats funny Faithful, true though. I think the Giants would've had trouble executing against our defense that night. We were flawless.

The NFL Draft (In April)
 is gonna be intersting
to put it mildly.

But -unless the scouts - see something
in Jefferson- that I don't.

Come about May 1
He is gonna be flippin burgers in Baton Rouge.

Anyone have a draft prediction for Jefferson?  I predict not drafted at all.  Wonder if that'll be LSU's fault also.

I dont think it would have made a difference if a healthy Peyton Manning would have been under center that night, we owned them on the line of scrimage on both sides of the ball...but then according to an ESPN idiot (whos name I am leaving off) if Scam Newton would have been under center LSU would have killed us....that one still cracks me up! And some probably believe it
