The End Of Sabanball: Details, Barbarians, And Precision
« on: February 14, 2012, 11:59:27 AM »
What will it take to end a dynasty?  My answer, the retirement of the Sabanator to a lake in Georgia.  May that be a long time in the future.

My hope is that when CNS is ready to call it quits, he'll take over as AD and leave an even longer lasting impression on the U of A!

Saban is slowly -but surley winning me over.

But I STILL think- the statue.
was about 10 years too early.

He and the BEAR- have very different styles.

But their "Means to an end" are the same.

Get as Many of the toughest players you can.
Keep em in shape. Continue to reload every year.
EXPECT High Standards. Push the Team Constantly.
And - More often than not- You'll be in the Hunt.

Add in a little Luck . A RABID Fanbase.
And you'll end up in the top percentile.
(Almost said 1 percent- But Some idiots have ruined that for me)

As a Fan- I could'nt be happier.

A few more NC's & I might get a Nick picture
to go along with my Collection of BEAR prints.

Keep Plugging- Nickster................................

Thanks for sharing that BM.  No matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old.

The only thing that will stop CNS is himself.  When he leaves, he'll stop dominating the college football ranks.

That was one of the most well written and articulate articles that I've ever read on the topic of football. I don't believe I've ever seen Keynes mentioned alongside Coach Bryant and Coach Saban. While none of us want to think about the end of the Saban era (unless you're a rival fan -- then you lay awake at night dreaming of it) the curtain will one day come down on Saban just as it did the Wallace, Thomas, Bryant and Stallings eras. What this article highlights, and most long time Bama fans know in their heart of hearts, is that Bama is bigger than any one coach. We are once again on the mountain top thanks to Coach Saban, but there will be a valley as sure as the sun sets in the west, but the fact that there will be more mountain tops after Coach Saban is as sure as the sun rising in the east.

8)Mention of Keynes made me think the writer majored in economics in college, then switched to sports journalism after graduation. It has happened before, especially during a recession.

Good stuff BM. Im with 12... Those stories never get old. It's been awhile since I've seen those and it just makes me wonder givin our current situation as the premier squad in the game, which stories will be told at the next reminiscing session some years down the road? And who will be the HOF'ers telling them? This is a great time to be a Bama fan and I'm loving every minute of it! Roll Tide Roll
