This shapes up to be a Fun year to watch NASCAR.

I don't know if I could ride her bumper -  drafting (and all)

Good call BM... I'm sure with her aerodynamic shape drafting would come quite natural.

I don't know who I'd call the favorite for Sunday. I like Stewart and Jr but Jr has proven to be a let down year after year. No matter how good he is at restrictor plate racing he always finds a way to choke. Its not like he dont have great equipment. I really would like to see Mark Martin finally win at Daytona but its just one of the two hardest races of the year to pick. Either way I'm ready to get it going.

Good post Sapper,i read that Junior was one of 3 favorites to win the race. i wonder what they're basing that on? I really like Junior,I became a fan because I was a huge fan of his Dad,but he just hasn't shown any inclination to push the envelope since he caught on fire that time. I'm not asking him to fill his Dad's shoes, nobody can,but I believe he could try a little harder than he does.
I'm also a Stewart fan,but I pull for almost everyone in a Chevy, with an exception or two.

Funny that everyone is high on JR.  I think it's so important to the sports that he be good year in and year out.  But here's a fact.  JR has never made the chase in back to back years.  He made it last year...

Having had the pleasure of being involved with Nascar series on a full-time basis for 16 years up to 2006 season, Daytona 500 will prove again this year that to predict who is going to win is a total crap shoot! Trevor Bayne proved my point last year! With "pack racing" timing in last 3-4 laps is everything at Daytona and Talladega. Whole key is staying out of the "big one".
